Content Review Policy

Information published on the website of the Goa Housing Board is reviewed at a defined cadence so that citizens see accurate, current and meaningful content at all times. This policy describes how that review is organised.

Review cadence

Each category of content is reviewed at the frequency stated below. The originating department may bring forward a review at any time if circumstances change.

  • Homepage, Contact Us, Feedback, Web Information Manager — reviewed every three months.
  • Housing schemes, Citizens Charter, RTI, FAQ — reviewed every six months.
  • About the Board, Aims and Objectives, Constitution of the Board, Organisation Chart, Employee Details, Duties of Officers, Technical Committee — reviewed every twelve months and immediately after any change in personnel or structure.
  • Acts and Rules, Orders, Notifications and Circulars — reviewed every twelve months. The active version is replaced immediately when an amendment is notified.
  • Tenders, e-Auction notices, Recruitment notices, Advertisements — reviewed at every change of status (publication, corrigendum, closing, award) and again before archival.
  • News, press releases, gallery — reviewed every six months.
  • Policies and plans — reviewed every twelve months and after any external audit.

Annual full-site review

Once a year the Web Information Manager coordinates a full-site review covering accuracy, link health, accessibility, design consistency and conformance with the Guidelines for Indian Government Websites. The outcome of the review is recorded and actioned through the content workflow.

What each review checks

  • The information on the page is still factually correct.
  • Names, designations, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, fees and dates are current.
  • Links to other pages within this site and to external sites still work and continue to point to the intended destination.
  • Documents linked from the page open correctly and are still the authoritative version.
  • The page meets accessibility expectations: meaningful headings, alternative text for images, keyboard operability, sufficient contrast.
  • The page metadata, the on-page title and the last-reviewed date are accurate.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Content Owner — the section or officer responsible for the subject matter of the page. Carries out the factual review.
  • Web Information Manager — schedules reviews, tracks completion and resolves disputes.
  • Web Administrator — updates the last-reviewed date, links and metadata after a review is signed off.

Records

Each review is recorded against the page, with the reviewer's name, designation, date and the outcome (no change required, content updated, content archived, content removed). The records are available to the Web Information Manager and to any auditor empanelled by the Government of Goa or the Government of India.

Ownership and review of this policy
